Procedures are booked on referral from a doctor, specialist or, for some injections, a physiotherapist under ACC. The clinic will check blood-thinning medicines and allergies beforehand.
Time and preparation
A simple image-guided injection takes 15 to 30 minutes. Biopsies and vascular procedures take longer and may need a recovery period or someone to drive you home.
